Just a short post about the technique freelensing.

It's very simple and works with any lens combined with any camera with a interchangeable lens system, for example a DSLR or a mirrorless camera.

Simply take the camera and lens in question and hold them as if you would mount the lens on the camera, but don't. With the lens not mounted you can change the distance to the sensor and twist the lens in different directions to get different effects. It's a bit tricky but it's really fun when you get the hang of it.

In the pictures below I've tilted the lens to get a very restricted depth of field. Simulates the tilt effect from a tilt-shift lens. Instagram also have that as an effect even though it does not work in the same way, but for an untrained eye looks the same.
